Masculine cards are hard for me. After raising four girls, I tend to make everything buttons and bows. NOT great on a card for a guy!! I also buy lots of pastel, flowery papers which my grandson (he's ten) fails to appreciate the beauty of. This card, however, I think could be enjoyed by most any male. The "buttons" are actually metal brads and the "bow" is made with twisted floss. As for the papers--not a flower in sight (I bought it with the guys in mind). This Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N image is also most definately male.

MMMMM Ice Cream
Going to use some of the Patti's Kids images for a bit. I sat down and colored a few one day and now am making them into cards. I love the purple shades and have used some in this yummy card. The ice cream reminds me of summer and the strawberry ice cream my husband makes. The grandkids like it so much that they get it from the freezer when it's time to go and take it with them!! You can find this and lots of other images in this line at Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N. Check it out! Just click HERE and you will be taken to the online store!

Key to My Heart
Who holds the key to your heart? If you are like me, once you started having children, they became the number one key holders. Then the grandkids started arriving and they bumped their parents out of that number one position. Well, this week my oldest daughter turns the big 40. Hard to believe. I don't know where those years went so quickly. Anyway, for this week I will give her top spot again. I will be remembering all the fun times we shared when she was the "only one" in our lives. She was a beautiful baby and grew up to be a beautiful woman, inside and out. Now she has three kids of her own who hold that key to her heart and she is doing an amazing job raising them (although she is a little overboard on the "watch the sweets" thing and I am always getting in trouble). There is a big party for her next Saturday. She told us it's too bad we won't be able to attend. We have to babysit!

Rain
Happy Sunday everyone! Here is my card for today. I used a Patti's Kids image of a little girl in her rain gear, hoping against hope that we will soon get some rain in Texas. As you may know, we are loosing acres and acres to wildfires. Hundreds of homes have been lost, along with unknown numbers of wildlife and livestock. It's bad. Many people have had literally only minutes to get out of their homes and have lost everything except the shirt on their back.
Take a minute today and say a prayer that rain will soon come to Texas, and pray for those who have already lost so much. Thanks.

Valentines
Not much time to post tonight, waiting for my DH to wing his way in from DC. The weather was touch and go, airport closed to lots of flights, but it looks like he is going to make it in. I love the cold weather myself, having been raised in the midwest. I love that cozy feeling when you are toasty warm inside while the blustery winds are whipping around outside. We didn't get the snow we expected, and I am sorry for the kids who were SO excited. However, winter is not over yet, so maybe they will get it later.
I am finally winding down on my Valentine cards, and am ready to get back to something else and some new colors (other than red and pinks!). The image on this card is from Patti's Kids at Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N.

New Stamps
This week Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N will be at CHA. This is one of the new images they will be introducing to the Patti's Kids line of stamps. This line of whimsical images is very popular, and there are several great additions, including some for the holidays. It is never too early to start those Christmas cards, and what a special treat to receive something handmade rather than off the rack. These images will be appearing st the web store soon, so keep checking back.

New Dies
Well, I broke down and bought a Big Shot machine. It was sort of "by accidnet." I am really happy with my Cuttlebug and wasn't even looking at the Big Shot. However, I ordered some dies, thinking they would work with my Cuttlebug, but they didn't. They were just a smidge too big. They are the Movers and Shapers from Sizzix. I really wanted to use those dies, so my only option was to get the Big Shot. I got a good deal on it--$59 at JoAnns on sale, so it worked out well. This is the die that came with the machine--a four pane window, I love working with it. The stamp is called "throwing stars" and you can find it at
Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N along with tons of other Patti's Kids designs. The white fence is a Martha Stewart punch.
