So Sweet

mmmmmm. . . .Mimi, that cupcake looks yummy!!!  I wonder why cupcakes are so popular right now in rubber stamping?  I have been stamping a long time and have seen lots of  themes become popular, but I think cupcakes is one of the most fun ones!  This stamp is from the new Penny Black line that is very hot right now.  For this card, I decided to do something different, and stamp my own background.  I used to do that all the time, but haven't done it for a long time.  I guess I just have gotten caught up in all the beautiful papers that are out there, and forgot how much fun it is to make your own background!!  I selected a floral image that is included in the Penny Black Sentiments (30-025) set and stamped randomly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of white cardstock.  Then I colored it in.  Simple and fun!  You can create your own "designer paper" to go with your other images.  The Mimi stamp is called "Sweet Thing" (4084H) and the sentiment is from the Betsy Bluebell set (30-053) and you can see them all  here at Penny Black.
