I love Strawberries

One of the best things about summer is Strawberries.  Ever since I can remember, I have LOVED them!  Strawberry shortcake made with Bisquick and topped with lots of real whipped cream is my favorite dessert.  Mmmm yum!  This little berry image from Stamp'N Plus Scrap'N is so fun to color and use on a card.
I like the smaller images that fit well inside a die cut "frame" that sets them off and makes them pop.
For this card, I made a quarter fold card  ( 4 1/4" x 5 1/2") out of kraft card stock (my latest favorite to play with--it looks so good with many different papers).  Then I cut a piece of red card stock so that there is a very small (1/8") border.  I used designer papers from a new pack I bought at Michaels.  It is called  "Garden Harvest" by Recollections. I again left a 1/8" border when I layered the red print over the red solid.  Then I cut a piece of the glittered strawberry print 3 5/8" x 2 1/4" and layered it on a piece of kraft cardstock, again leaving a 1/8" border.  I adhered it to the bottom of the card front.  Then I adhered the strawberry card, which was part of the paper pack.  I stamped the image  which you can find here at STAMP"N PLUS SCRAP"N and colored it with alcohol markers.  Then  I cut it out and using pop dot under the berries, I adhered it to an oval I die cut with a Spellbinders Nestability.  Layered that on a larger red oval and finished with a red bow!

Yum to the strawberries! Love all your layers and the contrast of the kraft paper to the reds.
